Automatic fixes
The --fix flag applies the automatic fixes of two rules:
| Rule | Fix |
|---|---|
unused-exports | Removes the export keyword, or removes the name from an export list. |
unused-packages | Removes the entry from the package.json. |
Run a fix
npx oxcruise --fixOxcruise applies the fixes, then reports the violations that remain.
It writes a note to stderr, for example fixed 5 problem(s); run again to see what that unlocked.
Run again
A fix can make more code unused. For example, when Oxcruise removes an export, the code that only that export used can become unused too. Oxcruise does not follow these chains in one run. Run the command again until it reports no more fixes.
When two fixes edit the same part of a file, Oxcruise applies one of them. The other fix waits for the next run.
Where --fix does not work
Oxcruise refuses --fix together with --init, --migrate, --rules and --print-config.
Rules other than the two above have no automatic fix.
